Abstract: The Sheetz family collection includes a series of photographs showing members of the Sheetz family and related families that date to the first half of the 20th century. It also includes the Sheetz Family bible maintained by Joseph Sheetz and a series of items from his funeral in 1960.

Acquisition Information: Acquired from unknown source in 2014.   

Processing Information: These items are from a legacy collection and their donor is unknown. Originally they were processed into two collections, one related to the Joseph Sheetz funeral records and the other being the Joseph Sheetz Bible. They were re-processed in the fall of 2017 and combined into a single record.

Biographical/ Historical Note

The Sheetz family have been members of the Shenandoah County community since the late 18th century. Joseph M. Sheetz (1872-1960) lived in the Lantz Mills community.

Scope and Content

The Nonna Good collection consists of approximately 3 linear feet of material. This includes 10 folders of photographs and documents, a box containing the family bible, and a third box containing other bound items.
