The County Library's last Teen Advisory Group meeting before Summer Reading begins will be held on Friday, May 31 at 4:30 pm. We'll put the final touches on the "teen space" project and the next Video Game Tournament, and have plenty of time for food and games. We hope to see you there!

Come to the New Market Area Library on Saturday, May 18 at 3:00 pm for an introduction to the art of food preservation. Bev Butterfield will discuss the basics of canning, freezing, jam-making and pickling while Dottie Edwards will discuss food dehydration. The Fort Valley Library is proud to announce that Callan Bentley, Assistant Professor of Geology at Northern Virginia Community College, will be the speaker at its May Lyceum. In a talk entitled "Snowball Earth," Professor Bentley will discuss the causes and effects of the planetary ice age that took place some 700 million years ago. The talk takes place on Saturday, May 25 at 10 am, with refreshments served at 9:30 am. Please join us. |
