Our libraries run on Volunteer Power! More than 100 volunteers contribute at least 150 hours per week to keep our libraries running.

On Tuesday, March 19th the Shenandoah County Library will host our annual Women's History Month Program "Daughters of the Stars: The Lives of Local Women." This event, which begins at 6:30PM, will feature Jackie Lambert and Emily Reynolds, members of the Woodstock and Strasburg Town Councils respectively, who will discuss their lives and what it means being a woman in their respective communities, careers, and local government bodies.

This event is free and open to the public. Both women will present a brief overview of their lives and times of service followed by a question and answer period.
