Shenandoah Room and Truban Archives

Shenandoah Room and Truban Archives identifys, collects, preserves, catalogs, and provides access to resources relating to the culture, history, life, and heritage of Shenandoah County.

To meet this objective, we maintain a large collection which includes:

-Genealogical Resources

-Local history books


-Historic photographs


-Area newspapers

-Census and other vital records

-Court documents and property books

-Family, business, and governmental papers


To access these you can visit us at the Shenandoah County Library in Edinburg, VA. The Shenandoah Room is open during regular library hours. To ensure the security of the collection the material in the archives is only available when a volunteer or the Archivist is on duty. Its hours are Monday-Friday, 10:00AM-5:30PM.
