The County Library also has a collection of Rosetta Stone software that circulates. New Books-on-CD are shelved separately.

The member libraries all have smaller collections of Books-on-CD. The County Library has three collections of Books-on-CD that rotate between Basye, Mt. Jackson and Strasburg libraries. The member libraries all have Rosetta Stone Spanish software.

The County Library no longer purchases audiocassettes, but it has retained a sizeable collection (1,564) of fiction, nonfiction, and language titles. The member libraries all have similar collections. Some have abridged materials in this format.

Playaways:

No CDs to lose, no software to download! Playaways are self-contained digital audiobooks. Check out a title, listen to the title pre-loaded in the player, and then return it.  Browse our selection next to the circulation desk, or search the catalog .

Music:

The County Library has a collection of music CDs (956) that are classified and shelved by genre. Each member library also has a small collection of music CDs.
