{mosimage}The Shenandaoh County Library system was established in 1997 to improve library services to county residents. The County Library in Edinburg is a full service library and governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the County Board of Supervisors. The five member libraries are semi-autonomous entities: Basye/Orkney Springs Station (1993), Fort Valley Community Center & Library (1998), Mt Jackson Community Library (1967), New Market Area Library (1974), and Strasburg Community Library (1958).  All locations share an automation system. The member libraries receive most of their materials and technology from the County Library and follow policies set by the County Library Board.  We strive to provide professional services and valuable resources in a friendly community centered environment.
